How to start? The necessary documents are collected (f.ex. the room layout and any areas of special interest or special concern are noted). A provisional date is agreed to be confirmed or postponed the day before depending on the weather conditions. The thermograms and the corresponding photos are taken. The diagnosis of a (semi-)detached house will take one day maximum. During this time the presence of the owner or of somebody knowing the building is important to make the prelimary analysis. What
are the concrete results?
After the thermograms are analysed a paper report is written during the following 5 office days. This report contains the thermograms and the photos of the abnormal situations as well as the commentaries and recommendations. The report, all the thermic images and photographs taken will be stored also on a CD. The diagnosis will be executed and the report be written by a certified thermograph following the norm ISO 18436. All the instruments are kept calibrated according the current standards. Who
will remedy the defects?
Being an auditor the French law forbids ThermoVue from carrying out the necessary work. For the remedial work the owner should contact a qualified craftsman or a qualified enterprise of his choice. ThermoVue can only give advise on the appropriate solutions. How
much does it cost ?
The cost depends on the work involved (from a simple search of a heating pipe to a complete diagnosis of the insulation of an appartement block). The price will be agreed upon an estimation of the work. In any case you should recover more than the cost of the diagnosis by avoiding unnecessary work or by reducing your heating costs. |
